Eduan Tek was started in 1990 in Bethlehem in the Eastern Freestate.
Hans Naude recognised the need for a cost effective, robust and simple, durable float valve that would be suitable for the harsh conditions typically encountered on a farm. These conditions among others typically included water with a high calcium content that tend to clog pipes and valves, water wastage due to broken floats and impurities in the water that tend to block the valves.
After a few prototypes were built and tested on his farm, Hans Naude patented a weighted float valve, manufactured from durable plastic and stainless steel which remedied all the difficulties mentioned above. Advantages of this float valve includes an automatically closed valve in the event of float damage, swirling action in the valve flushes impurities while no calcium build-up occurs on plastic or stainless steel.

Eduan Tek has been selling the Eduan float valves successfully for 30 years.
Eduan Tek has expanded its product range to include a dual level float valve as well as a tank level indicator using the same tradition of durable materials, robust and simple design.
